짧은 다리에 발가락도 약한데 잘 보이지도 않는다. 몸집은 작아서 5센치도 안되는 놈들이 많다. 하지만 날아다니는 힘아 강하고 1초에 날개짓을 55회 하는데 부리가 길어서 공중에 정지한 채로 꽃을 꿀을 부리로 먹는다. 잠잘 때 에너지 부족으로 죽을 수 있어서 힘을 아끼기 위해 잘 때는 거의 가사상태에 있는다. 벌새를 그리는 데 참 오래 걸렸다. 근데, 벌새를 그리고 설명하는데 왜 서글픈 감정이 들까. 모를 일이다.
