Trametes Versicolor (Turkey Tail Mushroom)

I am Hive account@hongotruthseeker, here again sharing some fungi knowledge
Living in the PNW I encounter fungi on a regular basis and often wonder what does this fungi do?

Trametes Versicolor is a polypore mushroom, being a polypore it release spores through many small holes underneath their caps.
This is an abundant mushroom growing all across N. America

Like many polypores, these mushrooms are Medicinal, and proven to help in the fight against cancer and other ailments.
This mushroom has been proven to have a protein-bound molecule known as PSK, or polysaccharide K.
PSK helps by suppressing the growth of tumor cells and preventing new ones from growing.
It also stimulates the immune system, helping fight viral infections
and it has also been shown to increase Stamina.

In a future Post i will share how i make Tea from this mushroom to make use of its benefits..
