In my previous blogs, I gave enough reasons to have regular sex but on a lighter and some serious note, here are more reasons to have regular sex and to enjoy it.
- Sex makes you feel better all day. A study found that adults who made love first thing in the morning were more upbeat for
the rest of the day. So, why wait for tonight? It has more benefits than that cup of coffee.
It boosts your immune system. Research has shown that people who have regular sex take fewer sick days.
A good sex life is good for your heart. It raises the heart rate and helps keep your estrogen and testosterone levels normal.
One study shows that men who had sex at least twice a week were half as likely to die of a heart attack.Sex if a great form of exercise. It uses about five calories per minute, it pushes up your heart rate and uses various muscles.
Sex can lower your blood pressure. One study found that sexual intercourse lowered systolic blood pressure.
It is a pain reliever. Have a headache, instead of using it as an excuse, having an orgasm can block pain and a hormone that
raise your pain threshold is released. It can help for back pain, arthritis, leg pain, menstrual pain and that headache. This is
because making love causes a surge in the “love” hormone ¬oxytocin and other feel-good ¬endorphins, which can ease pain,It can improve sleep, after an orgasm, the hormone prolactin is released which is responsible for feelings of relaxation and
sleepiness.
Often not in the mood, then you just should have more. It boosts your Libido. Having sex increases blood flow and elasticity
which also makes sex feel better and helps you crave more of it.It improves women's bladder control. A strong pelvic floor is important to avoid incontinence. Sex is like a workout for the
pelvic floor muscles, it makes them contracts which strengthen them. Sex is far more enjoyable than doing pelvic floor
exercises.Sex helps ward off prostate cancer. A study showed that men who had at least sex 21 times a month were less likely to get
prostrate cancer.Sex can ease stress. Touching and hugging release your body's natural "feel-good hormone". During sexual arousal your
brain releases a chemical that raises your brain's pleasure and reward system.
Increase your sex-appeal.
Sexual activity makes the body release more pheromones, chemicals that enhance your appeal to the opposite sex.
This is why the more sex you have with your spouse, the stronger your desire will be to have sex with them again.Sex is a fertility booster. Studies have found that the more often you make love, the better quality your sperm will be.
Semen health was found to be best when sex had last occurred less than two days
Frequent sex has also help to balance a woman’s hormones and regulate her periods, which can improve her chances off
conceiving.
It is good for your skin. The hormone oestrogen that is released during sex, has a plumping effect on the skin and can
smooth out your wrinkles. It makes you look younger for longer. Extensive research had found older men and women with an active love life looked five
to seven years younger than their actual age.Sex can help with depression as it causes your brain to release feel-good chemicals that boost your serotonin, the happy
hormone that lifts your mood. Serotonin is the body's most important antidepressant chemical. The release of serotonin is
the reason why people feel happy and relaxed after sex.
Sex can offer protection against the bone-thinning condition of osteoporosis which occurs when there is a shortage of
oestrogen in the body, regular sex boost oestrogen levels in women. Men can benefit too as testosterone levels that increases
during and after sex provide protection against male osteoporosis.Sex make you live longer. A study carried out in Australia found people who climaxed at least three times a week had a 50%
lower chance of dying for any medical reason than those who only climaxed once a month.Sex can improve your self-esteem In a recent survey undertaken by the University of Texas, US, it was found that participants
who had sex regularly felt more confident about their bodies.
Sex and intimacy can boost your self-esteem and happiness too. It’s is a prescription for a healthy and happy life, but also for a happy and fulfilling marriage.
