There is one thing that me and my girls love to do more than anything.
And it has worked really well as a behavior modifier for the last few days.
They have been as good as gold (comparatively).
Today was to be a family swimming day. Always a treat when the waves and the flume is running. And Hazel desperately wanted to show off her new swimming skills, since she has been having lessons at school this last term.
So today after a few false starts and when I'd managed got the house a little cleaner (done 3 days worth of dishes), we left to get the bus from down the road.
We have get the round the houses route, so we only need to walk up and down our hill, so there are a fair few rounds of "Are we will nearly there yet?"
And finally we arrived at the swimming pool stop
Off we trundled, me with the rucksack and the girls with their pull along bags, so I don't have to carry everything.
We went through the leisure centre doors and paid.
Got changed.
And for the first time in 18 years, I actually wore a bikini in the pool! I am finally becoming comfortable in my own skin.
(I had to get my daughter to take the photo, so I ended up headless!)
We had loads of fun at the pool.
And Hazel did handstands and somersaults in the water for the first time too.
