Meet my sweet, irreverent cat named Sadie. She was a rescued animal. Somebody abandoned her as a kitten during the cold Canadian winter. She immediately maternal bonded with me, but due to her mistrust for most humans, it took 2 years before she permitted my husband to pet her. She is lovely; has plenty of adventures with me... she is most often right beside me, following me through the garden or house.
How anyone can just abandon a domesticated animal that they intended to care for is beyond me. If you are looking to acquire a new pet, please consider a rescued animal....they are so appreciative...they have boundless love and gratitude. It can be so easy to be kind hearted to these rejected little creatures.
