I breached an underground cave where Hannya revealed his plan to use Mari for a dark ceremony. After unmasking and sacrificing his own wife and daughter to distract me, the wife transformed into a beast and severed my connection to KK. I relied on my bow to survive, after being powerless.
That was like a door to the underground cave that I had to rip apart to get inside, using all my strength to clear the path. After getting inside, the air felt heavy with a thick, spiritual pressure that made every step forward feel like a struggle. I knew we were getting closer to the heart of the mystery.
KK mentioned that Hannya is the reason he got stuck with his powers, hinting at a long and bitter history between them. He mentioned he would use Akito's sister without a second thought to achieve his goals, after Akito asked what was he going to do with Mari.
Then after running ahead, I found the Hannya preparing for the great ceremony in a large, ritualistic chamber. And it looked like the Hannya had two of his companions with him who surrounded Akito as he approached the center. The lead Hannya mentioned that the ceremony was soon to commence.
Then the lead Hannya said to his companions that he had no more use for either of them, showing his true, cold nature. He mentioned they are both beyond salvation, which is unfortunate given how they had served him. It was a brutal moment that showed he cared for nothing but his final goal.
Then the Hannya mentioned Mari has already taken her place atop the final stage of the ritual. He mentioned there remains work yet undone, critical work that required his full attention. The Hannya planned to use his companions to look after Akito in his stead, and then the two unmasked themselves.
They were the Hannya's wife and daughter, whom he has been using for his dark desire all along. He led them to keep Akito company, while he would do his evil deed.
One of the Hannyas, that I guess is the wife, got transformed into this evil creature, looking like a scary cat with glowing eyes. It started attacking me after taking me to this surreal place that defied all logic. The environment shifted and warped, reflecting the twisted nature of the spirit I was facing.
And suddenly, the creature pulled the spirit of KK away from me with a violent surge of energy. This left me vulnerable without any powers, feeling suddenly empty and weak against such a monster.
I only had the arrows and the bow to attack the creature with, making every shot feel precious and limited. So I started looking for the creature, who kind of vanished into thin air. My heart was racing as I tried to track its movements.
But when I found the creature, I wish I didn't as it tried to attack me badly with its massive claws. Fortunately there was this space where I could hide and look for a way to fight the creature without being seen. I stayed low, waiting for a chance to strike its weak point.
