The seasons have shifted, it should be summer but sometimes it rains. A short walk around the square is as the City of Brebes, Central Java, in Java. Most of every City has a square.
Each square has a history like ancient times as a gathering place for people to meet their rulers. But now the funtion of the Alun-alun ( square) is as a public place, an open space for walking activities,one of which,and to enjoy the scenery around in the City of Brebes.
Is adjacent to the main road connecting the island of Java, and this road includes a busy road with vehicles. The shape of the square is rectangular, facing the main road.
In the field, you can see ornamental plants and large trees that are old. The are many Regional specialties that sell near this place, this place is also a place to rest, because this place is on the main route for those who travel long distances.
Brebes regency is one of the producer of Red onion crops, the majority of the people farm onion, and this area also produces Eggs that have been processed into salted. These come from Ducks.
The Brebes area is commonly called the Onion and salted egg producing area. So as a tribute, a blue salted egg- shaped monument was made and an onion monument that was made quite high that resembled on onion, salted egg and onion is an Land mark or icon for the City of Brebes.
Onions are usually used as a mixture for cooking,and salted egg can be eaten directly or eaten with the staple food,namely rice. Alun-alun ( square) Brebes does not stand alone, but there is a relactionship with several buildings, such at to the west there is a grand Mosque, to the south of the Pendopo(pavilion) building.
