This discovery literally re-writes our understanding of dozens of types of disease progression and treatment. Pretty much any neurological disease and disorders (Alzheimers, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, et al.,) will have a new lens with which it can be studied and hopefully remedied. Very very exciting times!
