As many have seen, there's been some SteemIt profiles around that are "claiming" to bring transparency or open-ness of the rampant bid-botting.
I for one, see NOTHING wrong with it, as majority of SteemIt accounts are minnows, and yes, we should share the wealth of SteemIt around. No use just having a few accounts horde the whole amount of Steem.
These accounts against bid bots claim that it's "destroying" the SteemIt ecosystem, etc. etc.
Well first, many minnows actually post lots of quality content, but guess what ... they will NEVER get seen, because there's too much CRAP SHIT of one picture post, or one line sentence post. Okay, I get those posts are spam, trash, and there needs to be a way to monitor that, but honestly, for accounts like me and others who diligently post and want to have ways to "both" connect with other SteemIt members, while making some Steem money, then REINVESTING our SBD or Steem to bid bot helps us earn more Steem/SBD ... and believe it or not, those against bid bots forget that at least 1/4 to 1/3 of the post payout actually goes to "curators", and NOT authors.
I noticed two accounts, [@]transparency and [@]sadkitten who've both continue to auto-bot messages to each of my post, either letting me know of how much each of the bid bots has upvoted me, or in the latter's account case, let me know that they'll continue to downvote my posts each day.
Well guess what ... I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!
Again, I feel that the positive of bid bots has done for me is:
1. Increase my exposure (one of my posts, when I wrote it as my First Post in Spanish) garnered a total of 98 comments, 460 views, and 288 upvotes. That would NOT have been possible if I didn't do any self-voting.
2. Again using the example of the Spanish post, I had used only [@]appreciator and [@] postpromoter which [@]transparency account so nicely posted (spammed) on my comment section. So thanks for letting me know that I was upvoted around $94 USD ... of which half of it I had to pay in SBD, so really, I only netted about $39 in profit from my self upvote, since at least 1/4 to 1/3 of that amount goes to the curators themselves. Then the rest of profit that went to me as author and to other curators was from combination of other people's upvotes.
3. Self up-voting does NOT mean that the author gets all of the payout ... that people forget that some of the payouts goes to curators as well.
4. Lastly, curation rewards have been going down considerably? Why not open up that more often ... then people wouldn't need to rely on writing content to make more Steem. Right now, it's NOT lucrative at all to curate vs. creating content.
5. Those auto bots against bid bots would convince me more so, if they had READ my content and commented based on my content ... but guess what .. it's just an auto-post ... so guess what .... I don't give a shit what your auto-bot post has to say.
Anyways, great thing about SteemIt is its decentralized nature ... so that means, everyone has right to their opinion on this platform.
So guess what ... all you against bid bots are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to mine.
As well, I am entitled to do with my hard earned Steem, Steem Power, and SBD as I wish, as you are entitled to your share of Steem, Steem Power, and SBD as you wish.
So, here's to my self-vote with bid bots, and no surprise, I welcome your auto posts [@]transparency and [@]sadkitten and anyone else LOL. It's actually comical.
