Dear Steemians,
Being a gorgeous spring day I decided to go fishing on the river Ambleve in the South-West of Belgium. The nature in that part of the country is still well preserved and there are small hills and rivers.

A hiking trail runs along the river which was created by the ‘ League of Friends of the Ambleve’ in 1918 called Ninglinspo which is 6 km long.

Along its path one can discover very diversified landscape, a mixture of rocks, creeks and small waterfalls.

These small creeks are called ‘bains’ and there are six of them altogether named: ‘Chaudière’, ‘Le Bains de Naïades’, ‘d’Hermès’, De la Loutre’, ‘Cerf’ and ‘Diane’. The trail leads up a small hill with a nice view but also connects to other walking trails.

It felt peaceful walking slowly following its path, listening to birds singing and gazing at the cristal clear water meandering along. Luckily I had brought my camera with me which was not foreseen at the outset.

At the end of my hike I started fishing, which after walking for all those kilometres was quite tiring, luckily for the fish, I only managed to catch one trout . Driving back home after dusk had settled I was filled with the satisfaction of having spent a wonderful day out...
