Greetings, dear friends of feathered friends! After being away for a few days, I’m back in this lovely community to take part in another
Feathered Friends - Photo Contest Round 270. For this contest, the star of the show is a seagull I captured in flight. I never thought it would turn out so well, even though I took the photo with a phone that doesn’t have the same capabilities as a professional camera.
Watching seagulls is fun and fascinating. It’s common to see them walking along the beach; they aren’t as shy as pigeons, they’re more sociable, and it’s charming to watch them swim and stroll along the sand. The photo I chose for this contest is the one below—it really turned out beautifully.
Seagulls may all look the same, but that’s not the case—some have black beaks and others don’t, and there are also differences in the color of their plumage. One of the most common species found on those beaches is the Yellow-legged Gull. They are characterized by white plumage, except for their gray wings; they have a red spot on their beak, a distinctive and interesting feature, and their feet are webbed, like those of ducks. These birds seem very friendly; I didn’t have to chase them—I managed to take some photos and even record some video footage right from the sand.
I think photographing birds is difficult, but these seagulls made it easy for me, and I miss those moments. The truth is, they’re charming, and it’s worth showing in a video just how beautifully they move about on the beach.
All I can say is that it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

Saludos estimados amigos de amigos emplumados, después de varios días de ausencia, he regresado a esta linda comunidad para participar en otro reto de
Amigos emplumados - Concurso de fotografía Ronda 270. Para este concurso, la protagonista es una gaviota que capturé volando, nunca pensé que quedaría tan bien, pese a haber tomado la fotografía con un teléfono que no posee grandes prestaciones en comparación a una cámara profesional.
Observar a las gaviotas es divertido y fascinante. Es común verlas caminando por la playa, no son tan miedosas como las palomas, son más sociables y resulta encantador verlas nadar y pasear por la arena. La foto elegida para este concurso es la siguiente, de verdad quedó muy bonita.
Las gaviotas parecen ser todas iguales, pero no es así, algunas tienen el pico negro y otras no, además, también hay diferencias en el color del plumaje. Una de las especies más comunes que se pueden observar en aquellas playas, son las Patiamarilla, se caracterizan por tener el plumaje blanco, a excepción de las alas que son grises, tienen un punto rojo en el pico, un aspecto particular e interesante, y sus patas son palmeadas, como la de los patos. Estas aves dan la impresión de ser muy simpáticas, no tuve que perseguirlas, desde la arena logré unas capturas y también algunas tomas de video.
Creo que fotografiar pájaros es difícil, pero estas gaviotas me lo hicieron fácil y extraño esos instantes. La verdad es que son encantadoras y merece la pena mostrar en un vídeo lo lindo que se desenvuelven en la playa.
Lo que puedo decir es que fue una experiencia maravillosa e inolvidable.
