Tonight I made the grave mistake of subjecting myself to Pitch Perfect 3. Now, I need to wash my ears out with some better music.
I stumbled onto this a few weeks ago on the hunt for some new techno, and while this is distinctly not techno, the vibe and feel of the track still hold up well in a set of heavy heady techno. Heavy bass and white noise stabs walk alongside an ominous vocal that finally breaks into a series of drum breaks. It's interesting and stands out in my mind as being a song that a risky DJ can get away with if he gets it right. Dark stuff.
