It was the birthday of our precious friend. She used to stay at my place for awhile to help up with taking care of my youngest son who was born with a congenital health issue, together with my mum-in-law. So, I really treasured her a lot. Ever since she shifted to another state, we had not seen each other but only communicating via mobile phone. When my another friend suggested to drive my mother-in-law and me to where she is, I was stoked and immediately agreed to this plan. It was an hour drive to where my friend is. She totally loves seafood, so we brought her to The Gift Tilapia at Seremban, Malaysia.
(Let's first show you our group photo first. My precious friend is the one with the shortest hair. She is the sweetest soul I have ever met.)

Now, the awesome seafood restaurant
The Gift Tilapia Restaurant (TGT)

It is a humble little restaurant at one of the shoplots at Seremban, with two humble and friendly bosses and workers there to serve us. We reached earlier at 11:45am, so there were just us.

We chose this place as it is popular with their non-hormone and non-pesticides of healthy-grown tilapia fish at their own farm at Jelebu, Malaysia. Tilapia is our language of St. Peter's fish. From the shop, you can see many news on newspaper about how fresh their tilapia fishes are. And some posters on the wall about their fishes.

The Lunch
We ordered a steamed tilapia fish with asaam paste, salted egg squid, butter prawn, stir fry sweet potatoes leaves and tofu with garlic shrimps toppings. While typing this, I am literally drooling here thinking of the food.
The tilapia fish was really really fish, unlike the tilapia fish I had eaten at Kuala Lumpur which had a strong sea fish smell (I am not sure how to describe that taste) which a lot of people dislike, the tilapia fish here is fresh sweet fish taste. We loved loved loved it.

The fried squid with salted egg was so addictive. You just couldn't get enough of it. Crunchy flavourful on the outside and soft on the inside. Super yummy!

And the tofu was silky smooth and fresh. The boss assured us we must try their tofu which they made by themselves from scratch using non-GMO soy beans and no preservatives were added and she guaranteed that we would love the soy sauce too. She was absolutely right!

Just look at how appetizing these were!

We wanted to try their prawns although the boss honestly told us the fresh prawns had not arrived and they left only 6 prawns which they actually wanted to keep for themselves and served customers the freshest one. But our precious friend loved prawns the most, so we insisted to have the 6 prawns fried for us in butter way. No regrets at all! We ate one each except for the birthday girl, she had more!

Lastly, the stir fry sweet potatoes were also unlike the ones O had at KL which were always too slimy for taste, this one was super delicious, like enough wok-hei to fry them. Also, the boss said they had their own garden for the plants too. Superb! No wonder we could taste the freshness of the leaves.

Our spread of delicious lunch!

TGT Menu
Since you are reading this blog, might as well I show what they have in the menu. They have a very famous lunch promo consists of a steamed tilapia fish (your choice of sauce) plus rice and a cup of tea, which we saw many came to pack it at around 1pm.

Other food they have in the menu.

Four of had a good time eating, chatting and encouraging one another with uplifting words. It was a great time catching up with our precious friend who also had some health challenges, some extra liquid in the brain. We prayed for her, declaring goodness and miracles over her. We hope to see her again. She said that we gave her the most meaningful birthday ever, not cake, not cake, but precious time with friends who actually care for her. I bought her a pair of nice walking shoes too when we walked at the mall earlier and lots of healthy snacks for her. Good friends eat together, have fun together.
Thank you for reading. Stay bubbly. Stay hopeful.

❤️Love from me❤️
🌷Flowers for you🌷
