"Wah, Gaik, since when you become YouTube star, new job is it? Your videos are good, keep it up." My parents video call me just to tell me this. "Looking professional for a start."
"Not YouTube la, is Dtube, part of Steem. Steemit ah," I replied.
"What tube again?" they asked.
LOL.
Parents...
What do you think about your parents? I know that no parents are perfect but they have taken the responsibility to raise us up. I am not talking about those parents who are irresponsible due to various reasons (or excuses). I am talking about parents who tried their best to raise us up no matter how difficult we are or how clueless they are about parenting. Not to mention how tough it is also as provider for home.
Ohhhh, how I miss them. Little did I know they would check me out and become my mad fans.
I miss those days I spent with them back at home. So whenever they come here for a visit, I will ensure I arrange one whole day with them. Okay not really whole day, half day, because we are the same - we can't go out for too long. We are home-y type.
Few weeks ago, they were here with us. I took a half-day out to bring them to a mall in the city. At first, they said they would roam the city by themselves but I was concerned because they are not from this city. They, being parents, just didn't want to trouble me, I know.
But I showed up at the railway train, telling them I would join them. You could see their countenance brighten up because they were a little clueless of the new train routes. Haha.
I don't shop often so we took some time to familiarise with the mall using their directory map. My mum wanted to spend some time at a bookshop as she is a tutor and needed to get some new books. My dad went to toilet and I took this selfie by myself somewhere. Just for the sake of posting it here. Haha.
Later on, stomachs were grumbling and we went for Penang food, because my father was from Penang. A true Penanglites.
Let you have a glance of the food we ordered.
With full tummy, we walked around the mall, chitchatting away and bought some stuff for fun. We were approached by a nice lady to try their Halloween juice, despite the yucky dark green color, the juice drink was super yummylicious. Super, I am not kidding! You can try out the combination if you are a juice person. Look at the photo below for the ingredients used.
Without realising, 4 hours had passed and no wonder we started to feel tired and feel like going home. Told you, we were very home-based. But my father still desired to eat some 'kuih-muih' as snacks and a cup of coffee for comfort. Kuih-muih is another form of dessert we Malaysians love. I only took one photo here because I was lazy by that time. Haha.
While walking back to take train we saw this! You are right, at the entrance of a shop! We thought that the business of the shop must be bad that they even needed to use Captain America to beg us to visit their shop. Lol.
Thank You So Much for Touring My Ulog
