I travel the world a lot these days and my exposure has taught me a lot of things. One of them being that some moments can be relived. I was born when there were recorders and camcorders but my parents couldn't afford one or didn't feel it was necessary to document my childhood memories?
I really wish they did. I have only two childhood photos of myself on my dad's shoulder and the other with me standing beside my mum and so family members at a get together.
Anyways, I'm writing this to let you all know that I'm still far away from home and my Music Player does this occasional thing were it plays calls recorded between late 2015 and early 16 as audio - Mostly calls from my father and mother checking up on me. Some of them are emotional conversations about her waist pain and issues with money and how she's so proud of me (I graduated after so much persuassion not to drop out and I started a small company called 4ward.ng and I send money home sometimes :) )
There was this once I was in school and some things were really difficult for me, from Trigonometry to what to eat, I barely had money to spend on good food or eat thrice a day. My mum would call and ask me to come home by weekend so she could make me something nice and give me some money.
These conversations just play themselves sometimes, especially when I put my music player on shuffle.
My mum is still alive. I know she'd be gone someday. I know. But some moments can be relived and it's only when we remember these moments we can say our THANK YOUs from the bottom of our hearts.
So, download a Call Recorder today or get your phone to record calls... especially your loved ones' calls
