like what do you mean we are living in a era where everything is so advanced and tech has made things much more fun to live at the same time there are wars, there's inflation and unemployment and people are finding it hard to make a living and save up something for coming generation.
Like there's no sense of security in this era and we are kind of unlucky to be born in a era where we had pandemic, wars, instability and whatnot.
The Great Era but the wrong Gen
You're telling me we are that one unlucky Gen who had opportunities so less compared to our forefathers. They faught for freedom, land and won everything they wanted to have. A land, freedom, women who got freedom.
Now this era is great in that sense like you have freedom, you have a land, you don't need to fight wars everyday to be alive except for couple of places where the tension is always on rise and brings more instability to the region and the world.
Now when I think about what is wrong with this era it is just stability that we don't have, the unemployment is through the roof, cost of living is rising without taking any breath and stocks are at all time highs, retirement funds of people who were born before us are doing great.
While you're stuck wondering what you're supposed to do in this era? People were competing against the people but now that has changed, we are now competing against the algorithms and system that are actually way smarter than us.
They have got more more edge than anyone else in this era and most of us are lost. Literally no direction, no idea whatsoever and just moving on with the flow thinking it would get better eventually but it keeps on getting worse.
The worst will be when retirement is out of picture
I can see it is coming and no one is ready for it because you haven't thought about it yet, while you're thinking you'd put in the work and make tons of money
In couple of years that money will be worthless as the inflation will keep on spiralling upwards to the point where you've no option but to give up your retirement plan.
There's no way majority of people are going to make it through it. You just can't and yea that is true, unless we bring change real quick or become the change we want to see in the world.
They're going to achieve AGI in couple of years, what are you competing against by that time? If you can't already compete with anyone in this economy? Think about it while you've got time and I'd love to hear what's your thoughts on it in the comments.
