One of my weaknesses is my sweet tooth. Once it is activated (it seems to have an automatic switch, LOL), I almost couldn't say no to it. And my resolve has been tested a lot these days. While we promised to give in and indulge on this guilty pleasure only once a month, we simply couldn't resist.
Yesterday, I asked the hubby to buy us a small tub. I was imagining a Rocky Road (I love the peanuts and the marshmallows in it), or Double Dutch (I like the Choco chips and cashew nuts). He came home with Cookies & Cream instead.
Oh well, I like it too. And so we enjoyed some of it in the evening and earlier this afternoon. Gee, we have had too much sugar this month already!
The LilGuy insisted he gets some as well, so we gave him a taste of it (without the chips). He wanted more, actually, but we couldn't let him eat more than a few licks, as it is not really safe for him.
Another addiction in our household is nuts and dried fruits. At least these are not artificially flavored, and digestion has been better since we started snacking on these and adding them to my oatmeal breakfast, so we always keep a few boxes. I also add them to my ice cream (like the one in the first photo above).😁
The husband wasn't a fan of these at first (he only picks the almond nuts in them), but now he can eat a whole lot, just as I do, lol! Our Yongi also likes to nibble on the pumpkin seeds, though he only eats about 5 pieces in a day.
I am just thankful that, unlike before, I'm not often craving chocolate bars these days. But the Smirnoff beer seems to be taking its place. So our next grocery basket would have to include a few bottles of it.😂 Today, I discovered that the mixed nuts are a perfect partner for it.
Cheers!🍻
