Magandang buhay!
Midweek already, and just when we thought Mr. Sunshine was to spread warm vibes, the sky turned grey early (8 am), and the drizzles lingered all day. It should not be surprising, especially since it had been raining all night, even until the wee hours, but I had high hopes the day would be bright. Guess things we hope don't always happen, and it's okay.
Anyway, it's been a while since my last post about street art, so I take this opportunity to share some snaps along the street of Balili, MK, specifically on the concrete fence wall of an elementary school.
It was our first time in that place, and we were looking for the view deck, when some interesting colors flashed before my eyes as the hubby drove past them. "Whoa, whoa! Slow down, please. Let me take photos of those artworks," that was me, while quickly snapping whatever I could.
"Don't worry, we will come back later, and you can photograph as many as you want," he said. With that in mind, I didn't bother to check what I've got on camera.
Unfortunately, we didn't take the same street. I was just glad to have managed to take some earlier. Point and shoot mood as always, so forgive me for the not-so-beautiful photos😊 By the way, these pictures are only seconds apart.
No information as to when they were done, but it must have been years ago, as the paints have faded, and the walls are stained with dirt.
What struck me most is that the artworks are mostly blueish (light to darker shades). The artist/s must love the color. And they seem to be the place's landscapes and terrains (fields, curvy slopes, and mountains.
Meanwhile, these flowery colors were found along the road curve, near the pathway leading to the viewpoint. They are on the walls of local homes (the one on the right is a store). Like the other pictures above, these were taken when the car was running. I can only assume that these were done by different artist/s.
These are not the best shots and paintings, but they are a lovely part of our lil adventure that day. They are a cool reminder that once upon a time, we passed through that part of town. It is a given that a few years from now, the colors will fade, and they may disappear on those walls, but at least, we have them on record😊
