Magandang buhay (Beautiful life), Hivers!
It's Tuesday in my side of the world and power was out since morning. Thanks to the outage, I was finally able to tend to my overcrowded plants after having a wee battle within. The lazier side of my body tempted me for quite a while so I went back under the sheets after breakfast, but then my conscience nagged me and wouldn't make me sleep, lol!
So yeah, I found myself slipping into my yard clothing at around 9:30 am and out I went to do my day's task which was supposed to be last week's. Hmmm... no, was it last month's? I actually bought the plastic planters in November so it was really long overdue. I am kinda thankful that the power went off today :)
The husband upon seeing me out looked confused. "Where's the trowel?" I asked and he teased me hard when he noticed the pack of plastic planters and the pair of gloves I was holding. "Oh, I see. You finally decided to give yourself a break only when the power is out, hahaha!" I felt really embarrassed to be honest, lol!
Anyway, after taking the trowel, I went back to the day's work leaving him laughing by himself, lol!
This soil was taken by the hubby from under the Alnus trees at the west end of the property. Natural compost as he puts it. We used to buy commercial soil compost which cost around $6 per 10 kilos but he discovered these wealth under the trees last year, thankfully.
The first task is of course to fill the planters with the soil...
After which, I took out those needed to be transplanted from the mother pots which I was glad to see that despite the limited spaces on their original pots, the roots are still very healthy...
Look at this! It even has a baby on it :)
So from 7 plastic pots, it became over 20, I didn't really count.
I also transplanted the babies (sprouts) of the cabbage succulent.
It was almost lunchtime when I got them done and was just thankful that the hubby started cooking because I was already feeling hungry.
There is still plenty of work needed to be done out the yard but this was enough for the day :) Power is still out and oh my, it's so challenging to create posts on a mobile phone!
So there, my wee succulents can finally breath freely! I am pretty sure a few months from now, they will be growing babies too.
Thank you for reading me and I wish you a fabulous day!
