This is one of the learning activities outside the classroom. In the curriculum on learning 2 sub-themes 3 with the theme of my Family.
This afternoon they look very cheerful and also so enthusiastic. They are 1st graders aged 6 - 7 years old. In their current age period where they still love to play. This activity is done to create an attitude of kinship and intimacy between them and among teachers.
In addition, this activity also became one of the activities to eliminate the boredom and boredom of the students. They have studied almost two semesters. And they are very tired and bored to learn.
Basically, this game is a traditional game that was popular in the era of 1980-1990. This jump rope rubber play activity (grop karet) in Aceh language) is a form of preservation of traditional Aceh games in particular and generally Indonesia.
Materials and Tools:
The tool used in this game is very simple, the rubber bands are arranged by the students into a long rope.
Rules:
This game, at least played by three players (students), two students holding a rubber strap, while the other students took turns to jump on a rubber strap.
If there is a player's foot (student) caught in a rubber strap while jumping, then the student must hold the rubber for his friend.

"What is the name of this game in your village?"

If in my village, in Sigli, this game is called "maen karet". While in the city of Tasikmalaya the name of the game is "Guwer". Although different regions are different names, but the rules of playing are the same.
