Stress is a mental disorder that a person faces due to pressure. This pressure arises from the failure of the individual to meet his needs or desires. This pressure can come from within, or from outside.
Stress manifests itself in various ways. For example, an individual who is under severe stress may develop high blood pressure, spasmodic, irritable, difficult to make routine decisions, loss of appetite, susceptibility to accidents, and so on. The effects of stress can be grouped into three general categories: physiological symptoms, psychological symptoms, and behavioral symptoms.
