San Francisco is a timeless place.
Walking through the forests of Muir Woods, you experience the religious awe John Muir and others experienced when walking amongst the giants. Strolling down the Haight-Ashbury, we can almost still hear the sounds of the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, or Janis Joplin bursting out of the old Victorians. Driving through San Jose, it is impossible to ignore the world created by the pioneers of Silicon Valley, and the groundbreaking technological change they brought us. Even spending a small amount of time in San Francisco, you will find yourself thinking differently, opening yourself up to endless possibilities for the future.
It is impossible to walk the many neighborhoods populating the bay area without feeling intimately tied to those who spent their lives creating change. Over the last century and a half, the region has fostered such a strong culture of social change, entrepreneurship, and creative thinking. From technology, to conservation/environmentalism, to progressivism: the city has been propelling the country into the future.
