History is everything that is told through time, people who are part of a society identify with history and transmit it from generation to generation. The same happens with the legends that are part of a place, the legends expand and become a form of national identity, part of history and human development.
Venezuela is a Catholic country and religion is a tradition established almost in a strict manner, as injected into the genes of Venezuelans, and it is almost impossible to get rid of years of tradition. Religions have the characteristic of believing in something that exists beyond the mortal plane, a god that transcends human senses; all you need is to have faith.
Along with religion comes the belief of beings from the paranormal world. In Venezuela there are many legends told that have defined our culture, rural, urban and local legends are stories of a community, are based on supernatural facts, are imprecise because they will only remain in the hearts and minds of those who decide to really believe, or from those who have experienced it directly.
In my country Venezuela, the most common stories are El Silbón, La Llorona and La Sayona, which have become very famous over time, these have been made representations in the television medium and have spread more virally, but Actually there are many more legends that are not counted.
Naughty goblins in the rivers and forests of Zulia state
Paranormal events can come from all kinds of terrifying manifestations, both of ghosts of wandering people and humanoid figures, or rare anthropomorphic figures.
In the Zulia state there are several legends that refer to appearances of goblins, one of these goes from a bus driver, who was doing his night shift at approximately 11 at night, an hour in which the sky is a black deep in our country Venezuela and the senses towards the paranormal are sharpened, the driver was passed two '' weird things '' that were taken by the hand, they seemed human but they were not.
The driver assures that it was real and his witnesses were the few passengers he had that night, but the skepticism of many doubts his story.
The goblins are more real than we can imagine, and it is said that where there are children and happiness they will always be present, therefore it should not be seen as something negative, because they do not seek to scare, just play and make mischief.
The theater Teresa Carreño of Caracas bewitched.
As an arts student, one of the spaces where I spent time was in the extension of my university that is in the Bellas Artes subway station, in Caracas, right next to that university is the Teresa Carreño theater, a wonderful space of creation and art.
In the years I studied there I was never in that area later than 8 at night, but I can assure you that in the daytime it is a place that transmits tranquility, at night it is a bit terrifying, perhaps because of the magnitude and grandeur of the architecture, It is so big that you could imagine that someone could be watching you and you do not know from where.
A watchman had the misfortune to be working during the night shift in the theater, it was 2 in the morning when he witnessed in the distance the appearance of a woman wearing a black dress, he was curious about the time and decided that he would approach converse with the woman. He saw her go away and when he was coming to the basement of the place he felt a terrible chill and decided to stop following her.
Along with the watchman other employees claim to have witnessed paranormal events, even during plays or musical works, something paranormal is always happening but at night these spectra become more present.
In spiritual matters it is said that when someone dies regardless of whether they are animal or human, they travel towards the light, and their soul transcends towards "a better place," but when life is violently snatched, victims are trapped in the place where his death occurred, therefore it is normal to see apparitions, because they are only souls that seek help to solve something that they left unfinished, or simply seek to rest in peace, so many times we proceed to pray for them.
The nun who walks through the corridors of the Central University of Venezuela
The Central University of Venezuela is very large, as it is called the metro station to reach it '' University City '' composed of many buildings and a beautiful architecture designed for low power consumption and functionality for students.
In this university inhabit infinities of myths and legends, such as the famous story of the nun who decided to take her own life for love, the events happened in what is now known as the School of Social Communication, formerly the Central University used the building as a residence for women and on the other hand the structure of Arts and Statistics was where men resided.
The nuns began their work at the university by a mandate of President Marcos Pérez Jiménez, who said that female residences should be monitored so that personal relationships between students would not develop. What the nuns used to do was to allow the visits in the Lobby in a supervised manner, so that the students could talk at least. What was unleashed after this was that one of the nuns fell in love with a student, but her love was not returned and she in an act of desperation chose to hang herself to live without the love of her beloved.
This story lives among students of the Faculty of Social Communication for years, the nun usually appears in the photography lab, a dark and lonely place where students must turn off the lights for the development of photographs, many claims to have felt their presence along with many chills.
The specter of the nun also walks through the women's baths at night.
