Next we have a collection of works from a famous Art and Design school and movement Bauhaus. Bauhaus is represented by works of Marcel Breuer, Mart Stam ans Franz Ehrlich. This school flourished in 1920s and closed by the Nazis in 1933. I have visited its museum in Berlin and it was fascinating.
This unusual, colorful and biomorphic composition belongs to Kurt Schwitters, whose work remain uncategorized because of its uniqueness.
And colorful are these abstract, naïve figures that represent an art collective named Cobra.
Closing with two works of Pablo Piccaso. A vase that resembles an ancient Greek amphora and shows an owl. Picasso made a lot of these zoomorphic vases at the Madoura pottery in Vallauris, France.
Picasso revisits his cubist phase with this female nude and depicts certain parts of the body both frontally and in profile.
