WARNING !!! Do NOT read this post if you cannot handle photos of delicious sweets. And any attempt of bullying me like it happened on other social media will be fruitless.
I will keep on posting photos of foods and sweets, so deal with it. Right?
You may remember that I visited Chalandri a couple of days ago. I had lunch at a Mexican Restaurant, but I wasn’t full. And at that moment I remembered Leart, who was client of mine that makes a special kind of sweet.
I was still hungry, it was time for a dessert and I had the chance to say hi to an old client of mine. Kill lots of birds with one stone.
Wasted no time and went to Loukoumania at Sokratous 5 , Chalandri.
Leart and his brother make Loukoumades. Loukoumades are deep fried dough in the size of a ping-pong ball that is served hot and traditionally with honey.
As you can see Loukoumania has a more modern approach and offers you a wide variety of toppings.
The left portion of the display has liquid toppings like chocolate , caramel and more. A small secret. There is a heat source underneath the display so that the toppings remain in liquid form.
On the other side of the display there are solid toppings like crashed cookies or nuts.
Being a chocoholic I ordered a serving of Loukoumades with chocolate on top.
And this is what I got.
A generous portion of Loukoumades with melting chocolate. And they were awesome. They were made in front of me and I got them right of the fryer.
They were burning hot, so I had to torturously wait for them to cool off. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
And the chocolate was enough to soak them and take them to the next level.
Ok, I understand why some people were mad and jealous at me. Next time you are in Chalandri you know where to go. And since Vhalandri is known for its nightlife, I let me inform you that they are open until very early in the morning, so that you have a sweet snack after a huge consumption of alcohol. You can also have coffee and ice-cream.
After that I could go home happy.
