I have reviewed another beer by Brewdog. Actually, it was my first beer review. And how fitting, since my beer shop will close for a month due to the summer vacation, to review another from this brewery.
Brewdog is a Scottish brewery. This is their website : https://www.brewdog.com/
Seeing their webpage I can say we have few ideological differences, but good beer is above all.
So, I got this Indie Pale Ale beer, which goes into the IPA category.
It’s inside an aluminum 500 ml can. Nothing fancy, some basic branding and a little bit of copy at the back.
You open the can and pour the beer.
When you get a Pale Ale you are prepared for a light orange body and a long lasting white head. And this is what you get.
From the first sip you taste a fruity, refreshing beer. Orange and citrus are immediately present.
It has bitterness. I thought I wouldn’t like bitter stuff, but I was wrong.
This beer has a nice, “sweet” bitterness that stays after you finish your beer.
It’s also quite light on alcohol with only 4.2% .
I think it’s ideal for hot summer nights.
I read that the “internet” had buried this beer, but it seems that I got the revised version. Sometimes it is better not to be influenced by other people’s opinion and rely on your taste.
It is a solid beer. Not the best beer I’ve tasted, but surely not garbage.
I would happily drink it again.
And until the next beer …
