In my Beer challenge, I haven’t tasted any Greeks beers.
For this reason, the last two beers of the challenge will be Greek ones. Greece doesn’t have the tradition in beers that it has in wines, but we are fanatic consumers and during the last decade we started more and more to brew our own.
So, without further ado, I present you Voreia Smoked Amber Ale by Siris MicroBrewery.
Voreia means northerner in Greek and one can guess where it comes from.
Yes, the brewery is located at Serres, a city in the northern part of Greece.

This beer has won a Greek beer contest and I could say it quite unique.
It is unpasteurized, not filtered and contains 7% alcohol.
This process or lack thereof makes it very bitter and it also has a strong smoked flavor.
It is as the name implies, amber red with a thick white head.
I drunk with a tomato salad and some leftover meat from Easter. Holidays are over and I have to get back to healthy eating.
The beer is strong and bitter. Too bitter for my taste, so I will not have it again, but for those that enjoy those kinds of flavors I think it is an excellent choice.
Now it is your turn. I challenge the world. I challenge !!!
These are the rules.
You have to try a new beer every day, for 7 days
The beer must be something you have never tasted before (you can break this rule if you want)
