In this video I spend some time talking about the importance of community here on steemit especially with the recent phishing attacks. I also show a bit of the DSI Prophet Rev 2, a mostly analog polyphonic synthesizer. If your not in to synths feel free to tune out once I stop talking.
The recent phishing attack on steemit is a good reminder about how important it is to stick together as a community. I have only been on steemit for around two months and have already found a small but tight crew both in the music production and video production side of things. As each member of these "crews" grows and gets more steempower the more we all grow as we are always helping to support and upvote each other. If anyone in our community where to get hacked it would effect all of us and so beyond just merely an altruistic need to help and protect others we have real motivation for trying our best to make steemit safe and enjoyable for everyone.
I am really blown away by how quickly I have found a community and how accepting and supportive it has been. I would hate it if anyone accounts got hacked, and as steemit and dtube are fairly decentralized it is up to use the user community to help keep things safe. steemcleaners.org is a good resource to use to report malicious activity.
In the synth portion of this video I show off the DSI Prophet Rev 2. We start out with some presets I have programmed myself and at around 4:14 I move to some factory presets. At 5:20 I initialize the patch, which means kind of set it back to zero, and start creating my own patch on the spot.
Thanks everyone for watching! don't forget to make a video for my why dtube is better than brushing your teeth contest! 2sbd prize and entries are due tomorrow, but as there are no entries I'll extend the deadline out to saturday.
thanks to all my followers and to the steemit and dtube community as a whole, you all rock!!!
