As I looked around, something felt familiar. The bartender and barista… yes, I had definitely seen him before. I asked if he had worked at the CEDES café, the one I’ve written about so many times, and when he said yes, I knew I wouldn’t regret staying for lunch.

The first thing I ordered was a cappuccino. And what a cappuccino… from the presentation alone it already stood out, with that perfect foam and a generous touch of cinnamon you could smell before even tasting it. Nothing extraordinary, but it did the job, and with how hungry I was, I enjoyed it. The fries weren’t the best I’ve had, but they fulfilled their purpose, they filled me up.

Now, the piña colada deserves its own moment. Delicious, creamy, perfectly chilled, and with a presentation that makes you smile before the first sip. The kind of drink you would gladly order again.
In the end, that small detour turned out to be a great decision. I left D'Ask Café with that nice feeling of having discovered a place I will definitely return to.
