Imagine scrolling down to the end of an article and seeing this related article section. It is a great way to get some of your better work to be seen more often. I'll show you how to do it. Let's start.
First you can have 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, etc. I am going to show you how to create a related article section containing links to your previous work.
First you will want to size you photos to be 400x400, or some even number. It is important that they are all the same size so that they align correctly.
In your markdown editor, or the steemit post editor, you want to type the following:
Type your left bracket [ then insert your picture, then type your right bracket ] After your right bracket, place your left parentheses ( then paste the link, then type your right parentheses ) This is all the information you need for your left container. Now you have to hold down your shift key and hit \ you will get this |
Now it should look like this:
[pic info](link address)|
Now repeat the task again:
[pic info](link address)|[pic info](link address)|
And once more:
[pic info](link address)|[pic info](link address)[pic info](link address)
I know that things are looking a little crazy right now, but be patient, what you need to focus on are the [brackets ] and the (parenthesis ) nothing more at this point.
Now I want you to hit enter and type this:
----|----|----
The entire thing should look like this:
[pic info](link address)|[pic info](link address)[pic info](link address)
----|----|----
Now hit enter again. You will find that your pictures have all aligned.
Now hit enter again. You should be directly under your last task, type the title to your first article the hold the shift key and hit the \ button it will create the vertical line | and should look like this:
[pic info](link address)|[pic info](link address)[pic info](link address)
----|----|----
tittle|
Now follow this procedure until you have all of you titles complete, and it should look like this:
[pic info](link address)|[pic info](link address)[pic info](link address)
----|----|----
tittle|title 2|title 3|
If you want the title to be italicized, place t *mark before and after the title in your brackets.
Everything should look and function like the related article section below. Feel free to download and use the dividers. I hope you enjoy using this. Please share it with others and help the community.
Thanks,
William Martin
