Exactly a week ago, a tragic event happened in my neighborhood. A 15 year old boy was found dead in his father's house. He was terribly handsome, brilliant, vibrant and a geek. He had a seizure and there was no one around to help him. His sister met him stiff and pale on the floor before she cried out. It was already late when we got there.
His parents got back to meet the unfortunate incidence. It was a terrible moment to reflect on but I am angry. I know you curious why I am.
Much more later, the father was questioned and he mentioned that he has had seizure twice before. They know his condition, why then did they leave him at home without supervision? This could have been avoided if someone was around to help him when it started.
He also said they should have taken him to the federal or state hospital but they heard it's expensive. This got me really angry, i had to leave.
Poverty is truly a disease.
His father should have made a move to take him to the hospital for checkup. He should have told people around him. There are so many gofund awareness going on to help lot of people, one should have been created on his behalf to help the boy.
I feel terrible for their loss but it would have been avoided. We should learn to find help when we need one. The world is filled with wicked and dubious people but we still have to make a move to help ourselves. Just like the old saying:
Heaven helps those who help themselves.
We should stop folding hands and expect a miracle, let's seek help when we need one. I miss him already and I pray he REST IN PERFECT PEACE.
I have truly learnt from this tragic event. We should endeavour to take our health seriously. Go for a checkup regularly and stop listening to what people have to say about health issues. Do your research properly and if you have a strange feeling, consult your doctor.
Poverty is not an excuse to good health. We should seek for help like I mentioned earlier. I have seen hundreds of sbd raised on this platform just to help people.
Lastly, let us eat healthy, exercise regularly and be conscious of our health. I pray we all live long to see our children's children.
