My thoughts on using minnowbooster

Initially after seeing Hive account@minnowbooster bot posts under articles I had read I didn't know what was going on. I thought that it was a kind of a way of promotion but I didn't know. After looking into it further and actually using it I think it is a great idea that users can improve their reputation by sending SBD to minnowbooster, in other words paying for promotion of their posts. Better still users can gain a little bit of profit from this promotion.

Further more as there are limits to the amount that can be sent per day 10 SBD and 25 SBD per week, it means that very wealthy users or very well established users can't abuse it by paying 25,000 SBD for example and using up the voting power of minnowbooster.

The profitability of using minnowbooster depends on the voting power of the minnowbooster and also the time after which your post is made. I don't fully get this yet especially the timing of sending the SBD to minnowbooster. If someone can explain this in greater detail that would be great!!

As the author of this post I will share some of the payout with the commentors or curators, but after spending $9.54 SBD I reckon I will still be in profit. It's not about that though, more about gaining reputation and having valuable posts being seen more frequently by more people going forward. This could grow my reputation even further going forward.
