Lochlan sees people and says, "People!"
It's a word he knows. Isn't that interesting? What else does he know? He knows about keys, certainly, and the clocks that look like clocks. You know, analog clocks. He calls them clocks. And in a book, there's a clock in a frame that looks like an apple, and he knows it's both a clock and an apple. That's pretty cool and complicated. I supposed I should be expecting even more than I do, but I'm amazed at everything. I'm amazed that the human mind is capable of all the thoughts that it's capable of.
And we can imagine so much. But it really seems like we have trouble working together. At least the way society is set up now, it seems that way. That the only thing that ever works is a very rich individual telling people in their employ to do things. I don't think we're meant to work this way. I think when we work together as equals we come up with brilliant solutions. I think we make great things then. But all the resources are concentrated in the hands of individuals who wield their access to those resources as power. And instead of trying to figure out, with the input of everybody, what will work best for the world, they decide in their own, based on their own prejudices and the social-
