The main attraction of this flower is its bright yellow color and large trumpet-like shape. There is a slightly darker yellow or orange shade in the center, which makes it even more eye-catching. The leaves are deep green, shiny, and a bit thick. The plant usually grows as a vine or a bush.
This plant grows best in warm and humid weather. That’s why it is commonly used to decorate gardens, roadsides, and house fronts. It is a very familiar flower in Bangladesh, India, and many parts of South Asia.
Another important thing is that this flower is mainly used as an ornamental plant because of its beauty. However, the milky sap (latex) that comes from the plant can be slightly toxic, so it’s better to be careful while handling it. The plant blooms throughout the year, but it flowers more during the summer.
