Hello,
I'm new to steemit and this is literally my first post so it will probably not get much attention but i hope i get at least few opinions.
I would like to discuss how steemit has "forced" positivity in its community. What i mean by this is that we as a community of steemit are "forced" to leave positive comments so we could get rewarded by other users with upvotes and in the end make money.
Currently the positive vibes in the comments seem grate. This has nearly eliminated all the haters and trolls because everyone is trying to earn a buck but will this effect the feeling of communicating with real people? If everyone is nice to you and everyone starts saying the things you want to hear just so they can get a upvote and earn some money will that be a problem for the site in the long run?
I have already seen a steemit post talking about how you should not post what you think is interesting but focus on what other people will see as interesting.
Famouse youtuber Pediepie has already touched on this subject but for youtube :
The same message could be applied to any site with individual content creators making money from their content but this site also encourages the comment section to be fake.
Let me know what you think! And make sure to share your actual opinion :)
