It was a lazy Saturday. There was nothing much doing besides a big breakfast burrito with special powers to put a man to sleep.
After lazing around like a feline for most of the morning, it was time to take at least a hundred or so steps. Plus or minus.
So I nestled into my flip flops and headed out the back via our garage door. I was in one of those moods where I wanted to write, but nothing was really inspiring me to do so.
What can't be put down in words, however, can often be caught on camera.
It was the hillside behind our townhouse that drew in my attention today.
I have no formal training in photography but I did try to move around to find the best lighting. The one above seemed to stand out as it goes from light to shadow and back to light in the background.
A shift of position added at least 20 extra steps of exercise.....and a different perspective to the view.
Add two more steps for this one which was only possible after turning myself around.
Panning out shows a wider view of the area in general. Red & yellow flowers in and out of the shade give way to yellow wildflowers in a sunny background.
No step credits for that one as it was all camera work. Still, all that activity required a rest in the patio chair where I had a visitor.
He's in there but not easy to see. The shadow covering the flower hides him. Here's a closer look before I wrap up today's photo share.
Thanks for following along and Happy Hiveing!!
