Story&Summary
Lucia Evans is the main heroine of this story. she was the former most talented healer magician with healing powers of the royal court. When she was still very young she had been saving so many lives out of her magic powers. But then one day backstabbing and bloodshed among the ruling members jealousy of the royal family all this caused her to lose her virtue and status. She was labeled as a traitor and kicked out of the royal court.
In losing it all Lucia as a result of a magical accident begins a new life in a new city under a new name this time Lucia has become Luis. But this time she does not mind to portray herself as a healer before anyone. She hides that she uses her powers to assist people. She does not want anyone to be popular just as before in her former life and steal her life and peacefulness.
In this new town he begins to work as an assistant to a general doctor. However people of the town slowly sense his skills. He is able to heal with the normal medicine where other physicians are unable to do. He secretly does use his magic power too but so that no one might notice that. One day a mysterious society requests Louis to investigate the reason behind the disappearance of kids in the town. Louis bit by bit realizes that there is something dreadful happening behind the scenes in the town behind which there are old familiar faces of the royal court.
He is at a cross-road with two destiny routes ahead of him at this stage. His life should be his own That lives quietly lives quietly. Or he will reappear as healer to defend the unjust and the powerless. Eventually Lewis responding to the call of his soul and conscience emerges out of the lurking position different in a new construction with a new energy. This time he is not only a healer but also a warrior as well subduing the bad guys with his own might. There is a relationship of his past present and self-confidence which is felt in the latter episodes. He knows that no matter how well he performs righteous deeds in silence there is need to emerge out to bring a real change.
My Explanation
The New Life in the Shadows of the Brilliant Healer is a touching fantasy and drama anime that presents the stories of joy and sorrow the triumph and the defeat, the rise of self discovery and the mushin the silent soul of a girl. This is an anime that pays more attention to internal conflict character development and silent heroism rather than glamour and heavy action. However this is the strongest part of the anime Lucia does not give up. She begins a new life in a new city with a new identity of a person named Louise and she secretly uses her power of healing to serve humanity. Despite her new life silent struggles and self-discoveries being a long gradual process every episode can educate us. Being silent is not a weakness. The character development of the anime is another great thing about the anime. Lucia/Louise is a strong woman who feels that working laboriously is the best rather than light on publicity. Through the story in her new life we come across a family of beautifully created human aura of sympathetic characters who are courageous and complex at the same time.
Speaking of animation it is not very flashy yet the style of the art is quite relevant to the feeling and emotion of the story. The application of light colors passing expressions as well as light and shadows present some sort of realistic sense to the story. Even though there are not many fight scenes the utilization of healing or magic power was smooth slow and majestic. Voice Over and music were rather adult. The background music assisted in expressing the feelings and the voice of Lucia was quite animated. The conversations are highly poignant when she has to be alone. But then again as with any story there are weak points also here. There are some slow paced reports and at some instances they strain the patience of the viewers. The action and active plot even those who seek can be slightly surprised. In addition development of some of the supporting characters in the book could have been more. The New Life of the Brilliant Healer in the Shadows is a kind of a key experience to say nothing of a fantasy it is an energy of a certain girl who easily conquers light on her way. It is a must to watch when a person loves emotional soulful and calm anime. It tells you Real power lies in doing without making noise being resistant against unfairness and getting up after you were thrown down again and again.
