Amigurumi #112: Timoteo parte 1

Al inicio, cuando empezada en el mundo tejeril, aceptaba todo tipo de pedidos. Desde personajes que desconocía hasta los clásicos animados. Todo andaba bien, hasta que llegó un pedido donde me quedé analizando bastante tiempo para ver si podía tejerlo. Cuando se trata de un personaje tan conocido, la valla es alta. Por eso, probé tejiéndolo de tamaño mini a manera de prototipo. Y no quedó tan mal.

At the beginning, when I started in the knitting world, I accepted all kinds of orders. From characters I didn't know to classic animated characters. Everything was going well, until a request came in and I spent a long time analysing it to see if I could knit it. When it's such a well-known character, the stakes are high. So, I tried knitting it in mini size as a prototype. And it didn't look too bad.

Uno de los inconvenientes mayores fueron los ojos, ya que en ese año aún no llegaban los ojitos de seguridad, por lo que decidí tejerlos. Cuando coloqué los ojos tejidos en la cabeza, estos eran demasiado enormes y no quedaban bien. Entonces, este año si bien tenía los ojitos no conseguía el tamaño adecuado. Una vez que empezaron a importar ojos más grandes, recién me animé a diseñarlo nuevamente y esta vez desde cero. ¡Veamos cómo fue esto!.

One of the biggest drawbacks was the eyes, as safety eyes had not yet arrived that year, so I decided to knit them. When I put the knitted eyes on the head, they were too big and didn't fit well. So this year, even though I had the eyes, I couldn't get the right size. Once bigger eyes started to be imported, I decided to design it again and this time from scratch. Let's see how it went!

Materiales /materials:

• Hilos de algodón (4 hebras) / Cotton thread (4 strands)
• crochet 2 mm
• tijera / scissor
• napa siliconada / silicone coating
• aguja lanera / wool needle
• ojos de seguridad 14mm/ security eyes 14mm
• marcador de vueltas / lap scoreboard
• alfileres con cabeza / headed pins

Esta publicación será en 2 partes, debido al tamaño y los detalles que lleva el personaje. El escalímetro fue de mucha ayuda, ya que el prototipo es casi la mitad del amigurumi a diseñar. La parte más complicada (aunque no parezca) es la forma del hocico, boca y mejillas (fig. 1, 2 y 3). Como mencioné líneas arriba el otro punto fueron los ojos, estaba entre si fuesen tejidos, bordados, pegados con fieltro o solo con fieltro y ojitos de seguridad.

This publication will be in 2 parts, due to the size and details of the character. The scalimeter was very helpful, as the prototype is almost half of the amigurumi to be designed. The most complicated part (although it doesn't look like it) is the shape of the muzzle, mouth and cheeks (fig. 1, 2 and 3). As I mentioned above the other point was the eyes, it was between whether they should be knitted, embroidered, glued with felt or just felt and safety eyes.

El personaje también tiene una especie de ceja, esta fue tejida con puntos altos porque si lo tejía con puntos bajos quedaría más tosco. También se tejió unas pequeñas orejas (fig. 4). Seguimos con el rostro, se tejió unas pequeñas cejas, párpados y una cresta rosada (fig. 5). En el cuello tiene una especie de peluchito rosado, una vez tejido eso se continuó con el cuerpo. Seguido de las piernas y cola (fig. 6). Faltarían las púas de la espalda, algunos detalles en el rostro, en las extremidades y en el cuerpo.

The character also has a kind of eyebrow, this was knitted with high stitches because if I knitted it with low stitches it would be rougher. We also knitted some small ears (fig. 4). We continue with the face, we knitted some small eyebrows, eyelids and a pink crest (fig. 5). On the neck there is a kind of pink fluffy stuffed animal, once that was knitted we continued with the body. Followed by the legs and tail (fig. 6). The spikes on the back, some details on the face, limbs and body are missing.
