Las labores que estoy realizando de estos días, hace que me aleje del arte, con arte me refiero a dibujar y tejer. Y estoy aprehendiendo mas del arte culinario (arte de cocinar), orientado a la cocina saludable. De todas maneras, te compartiré mi avance con Zayu en este tiempo.
These days, the work I'm doing is keeping me from my art by “art,” I mean drawing and crocheting. And I'm learning more about the culinary arts (the art of cooking), with a focus on healthy cooking. Anyway, I'll let you know how things are going with Zayu.

Hasta el momento me estoy quedando con esta cabecita para Zayu. Aunque, puede que al último le cambie algo (espero me alcance el tiempo). Como vez, aquí entra el cambio de color. Para esto, estoy usando el jacquard, porque para mí esta técnica es mas segura para la composición de un muñeco tejido.
Right now, I'm leaning toward this little head for Zayu. But, I might end up changing something at the last minute (I hope I have enough time). As you can see, this is where the color change comes in. For this, I’m using the jacquard technique, because I find it more reliable for constructing a crocheted toy.
Esto de diseñar a crochet a las mascotitas, son de las cosas que mas disfruto hacer en la vida. Además, se aprende la cultura del país organizador. Para mí, son como oportunidades únicas de vivir la alegría el ambiente del mundial con la gente que te rodea. Para diseñar a Zayu (el Jaguar), estoy tomando como referencias a Luffy y Phryges.
Designing crocheted little mascots is one of the things I enjoy most in life. Also, you get to experience the culture of the host country. For me, these are unique opportunities to experience the joy and excitement of the World Cup alongside the people around you. To design Zayu (the Jaguar), I'm using Luffy and Phryges as references.
A veces cuando diseño, avanzo tan rápido que olvido de los detalles. Por ejemplo: Aquí la parte de atrás de las zapatillas, olvidé colocarle una banda amarilla. Esto lo corregí cuando tejí la otra pierna, jaja.
Sometimes when I'm designing, I move so fast that I overlook the details. For example: Here, on the back of the sneakers, I forgot to add a yellow stripe. I fixed that when I crocheted the other leg,
Por ratos, siento que Zayu es un diseño sencillo; y por otros recuerdo el tiempo que me está tomando diseñarlo. De todas maneras, México es uno de esos lugares que quisiera visitar algún día. Por eso, debo sacar esa valentía de Zayu para continuar.
Some times, I feel like Zayu is a simple design; other times, I’m reminded of how long it’s taking me to design it. Anyway, Mexico is one of those destinations I'd like to visit someday. That’s why I need to draw on Zayu’s courage to keep going.
Con el hilo verde en mano, seguiré diseñando para que no me gane el tiempo.
With this green yarn in hand, I’ll keep designing so that time doesn’t get the better of me.
