Today I realized, I have a better chance of meeting the best of the web on steemit than anywhere else!
The idea of steem and steemit is to build a *brand new* social network. A community of strangers who can interact with one another, and share in the value of it.
IT WORKS!
You get paid to upvote good content. You get paid to write your own good content.
The value of the system is obvious.
I've only been here less than a year, and already I've been able to decipher good people vs bad people.
What does that mean?
- Some people are here for the greater good.
- Some people are here for themselves.
The lines are blurred... but if you spend enough time here, people's personalities become obvious.
I can count at least 10 people I've met via steemit that I treasure, and would have never met otherwise.
I can count at least 50 people I've met via steemit that I normally would shove past on the sidewalk and have no time for...
That's life. However, in blogs, we spill out our life and our thoughts to whomever is listening. With enough time it becomes very obvious who is here for money, and who is here to just be the better part of society..
Read between the lines and you can see it too.
