Sometimes I have fun on steem, sometimes it feels like work. Wonder why you're still here?

That's the problem with new things... eventually they aren't new, facinating and exciting anymore.
You find yourself... reminding yourself... why you spend so much time.
That's human nature.
I'm human, and so are you.. our emotions can get the best of us sometimes. When something stops becoming fun, it feels like work.
To give an example...
Have you ever planted a vegetable plant for the first time? How about growing your own tomato plant? The first time you do it... it's amazing to watch it sprout tomatoes and even better to harvest them for the first time.
Go ask a tomato farmer how exciting it is, after 19 years planting tomatoes to get excited by it anymore. The only thing he'll tell you is the last time he had a huge tomato grow, and other than that... the excitement of planting your own crop wore off years ago.
"Now it's just work... to pay the bills", he'd say...
Is the steem the blockchain "just work"... to earn money... to pay the bills?
Some days I feel like it. I'll be honest. If you're not at that point right now.. one day you might find yourself at that point.
Obviously, I've put a lot of thought into this, and that's the reason for this post...
...for me, being a blogger on steem isn't just about repetition. It's not about just making money. Doing a repetitive task "just for the money" is work. I hate work... they say "if you do what you love as a career, it is the best job you will ever have and it is not work".
As I type this, I don't know if anyone will like what I have to say, or if this will be a post worth only a few dollars.
....and it doesn't matter
Steem - the blockchain is making history. It's going to the moon whether I'm here, you're here or not. It's a new invention that has surpassed its first year of business and doing extremely well.
Look at this image:

We're going somewhere special with all of us.. and you, me, and the person creating an account as you read this... is also going to be part of something big.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of the obvious...
Where else in the entire internet, can you possibly sit there and type out a letter to the abyss, and not know how it will be received until you do it?
Your facebook friends and facebook families will "like" your stuff often just to be polite, because they like you.
....that is not the same thing we have here.
I know my words, are on YOUR screen right now. I took the time to write them... most people don't have the time to read them. But you did! Whoever is reading this right now... you're special to me. Whoever upvotes this is special to me. Whoever comments this post is special to me.
I don't need 3,000 special people to upvote, comment, or praise me for my writings..
...but if there is just 1 or 2 people that enjoy my writings, that is why I write... it was worth the time I spent doing it. For you.
That's rewarding for me. I like that I can do this for you.
..and there is a hidden bonus in this steem blockchain
My words "AND" your words are preserved in the blockchain forever now. That's cool. We have a daily time capsule of life.
What if 100 years from now, when life is completely different than we know today, sometime reads this, long after you and me are both dead. But there is something there that they like about it?
As history gets created.. and preserved, normally it is done with records, texts, published official recounts of what happened.
Not with steem. RAW conversations from me and you, the very people who are alive August 2017 is happening now. Not edited, not repackaged, not checked whether or not it is suitable for publication for our future ancestors.
This is raw data that is saved, witnessed and will be available later.
This is the internet, and free-speech, and time-capsule stuff for our future generations at its finest.
Can blogging feel like work sometimes? Sure.
Is this whole thing we're participating in about money? It can seem like it sometimes, yes.
Are we doing future humanity good? I do believe so. We're recording history without even realizing it.
Love you all... that's my mind for today. Share yours.
