Chocolate & Peanut Butter Soft Baked Cookies.
Fresh out of the oven... Hungry now aren't ya?
Me and the kid just got done with our first round of cookie baking for the holiday season!
Yep, I am a single Dad, and yeah we bake and cook together. And we have created quite a cookie if I do say so myself. And since it is almost Thanksgiving, and I am in the sharing mood...
The secret recipe:
2 1/3 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. real vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
2 large eggs
1 cup(2 sticks) of real butter
3/4 cup Nestle semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup Reeses peanut butter chips
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Melt butter on the stove or in the microwave.
Add melted butter, both sugars, vanilla extract, and eggs into a lg. mixing bowl. Stir until mixed well.
In another lg. mixing bowl, add in the flour, baking soda and salt. Wisk these dry ingredients.
Then add the sugar mixture to the flour mixture, mix it! Then add both the chocolate and peanut butter chips. Mix thoroughly until it looks like cookie dough. :-)
Then use a teaspoon to drop even amounts of dough to a baking tray.
Bake approximately 7 minutes at 375 for a softer cookie. Or 9 minutes if you want them hard.
Times depend on your oven, and your tastes. Experiment with the recipe.
Keep an eye on them while baking, until you get it dialed in!
Look for an awesome light golden brown color on the tops, and slightly darker brown around the edges.
Happy Holidays, Enjoy. :-)
