Recently, theatre lovers in Pinar del RÃo had the opportunity to see an excellently crafted play called 🙂 smiley ! It was a weekend of great theatre at the Virgilio Piñera Theatre. The play SMILEY, written by Guillem Clua, was directed by Josep MarÃa Coll and featured excellent performances by Georbis Martinez and Roberto Romero.
The performances were scheduled for: 🕠Friday 26th: 9:00 pm and 🕣Saturday 27th: 5:00 pm. I spread the word on my social media profiles, as it was an opportunity not to be missed. It is very rare for plays of such high quality and artistic merit to come to our theatres.
I love it when I leave the theatre and go home and sleep and wake up and the play is still going round and round in my head. That's what happened to me last night with this beautiful play, masterfully performed by Roberto Romero and Georbis Martinez Manzo.
And what's more, to see the Virgilio Piñera theatre lit up and filled with audiences of all ages. With a promotion that was done urgently, almost fleetingly. It feeds my hope that we have a theatre audience in this city for all venues. It makes me want to keep going.

Hace poco que los pinareños amantes del arte de las tablas, tuvieron la oportunidad de ver una obra de excelente factura como 🙂 smiley ! Fue todo un fin de semana de buen teatro, en la Sala Virgilio Piñera. Con la obra SMILEY, un texto de Guillem Clua, dirigido por Josep MarÃa Coll y con las excelentÃsimas actuaciones de Georbis Martinez y Roberto Romero.
Las funciones fueron en los horarios: 🕠Viernes 26: 9:00 pm y 🕣Sábado 27: 5:00 pm. En mis perfiles de redes sociales estuve corriendo la voz, era una oportunidad que no se podÃa desperdiciar. Pues sucede que en muy pocas ocasiones, se llegan hasta nuestros teatros obras de tal facturación y gusto artÃstico.
Me encanta cuando salgo del teatro y me voy a casa y duermo y amanezco y todavÃa la obra sigue dando vueltas en mi cabeza. Asà me pasó anoche con esta obra tan hermosa y actuada de manera magistral por Roberto Romero y Georbis Martinez Manzo.
Y además, ver encendida la sala Virgilio Piñera y llena de público de todas las edades. Con una promoción que se hizo de manera urgente, casi fugaz. Me alimenta la esperanza de que tenemos un público teatral en esta ciudad para todos los espacios. Me da ganas de seguir.
