Saludos, esta es mi participación en el Women's Day Challenge de la comunidad
NeedleWorkMonday Donde se nos invita a conmemorar esta importante fecha elaborando un trabajo de aguja siguiendo nuestra inspiración y estilo personal porque cada mente es un universo de ideas y las manos de las mujeres artesanas que hacemos vida en esta comunidad crean cosas únicas.
Para esta ocasión realicé un amigurumi de una chica, pero no cualquier chica, sino una chica super guerrera, moderna, consciente de su importancia como mujer, con el cabello rosa, quise vestirla con ropa cómoda, un short, zapatos deportivos, y una chaqueta con el mensaje: “Mujer sé fuerte” porque siento que es lo que deseo decirles a todas las mujeres en esta fecha.
En mi país la lucha por los derechos de los mujeres está algo lenta, son muchas las cosas que ahora mismo suceden que violentan los derechos de las mujeres trabajadoras y de las madres de familia, asimismo las mujeres jóvenes se encuentran vulnerables a muchos peligros como la delincuencia y el acoso. No quiero comenzar mi publicación con una noticia triste, pero el mes pasado dos mujeres jóvenes fueron halladas muertas y con signos de violación en un estado vecino al mío, esto me hizo pensar en la poca confianza que tenemos los venezolanos en que se haga justicia es ese caso tan atroz, por eso mi amigurumi de hoy luce como una mujer joven que apenas comienza la vida adulta con el importante mensaje de ser fuerte en su espalda, porque para una joven de mi país no hay otra manera de enfrentar los hechos diarios sino siendo fuertes.
Greetings, this is my participation in the Women's Day Challenge of the community NeedleWorkMonday invites us to commemorate this important date by developing needlework following our inspiration and personal style because each mind It is a universe of ideas and the hands of the artisan women who make life in this community create unique things.
For this occasion I made an amigurumi of a girl, but not just any girl, but a super warrior girl, modern, aware of her importance as a woman, with pink hair, I wanted to dress her with comfortable clothes, shorts, sports shoes, and a jacket with the message: "Woman be strong" because I feel that is what I want to say to all women on this date.
In my country the fight for women's rights is somewhat slow, there are many things that are happening right now that violate the rights of working women and mothers of families, young women are also vulnerable to many dangers such as crime and harassment. I do not want to start my publication with sad news, but last month two young women were found dead and with signs of rape in a state neighboring mine, this made me think about how little confidence we Venezuelans have that justice is done. That atrocious case, that's why my amigurumi today looks like a young woman who is just beginning adult life with the important message of being strong on her back, because for a young woman from my country there is no other way to face daily events but being strong.
Proceso / Process
Comencé haciendo una estructura de alambre para que la figura se mantuviera de pie, utilicé alambre llamado limpia popotes para los brazos para que sus brazos fueran fáciles de articular y colocar en la posición que la persona desee.
I started by making a wire frame so that the figure would stand up, I used wire called an arm straw cleaner so that his arms were easy to articulate and place in the position that the person wanted.
Comencé tejiendo en primer lugar las piernas con hilo beige y ganchillo #4 (1,25mm), comenzando con 5 cadenas y tejiendo sobre ellas puntos bajos y aumentos hasta conseguir un óvalo para la planta del pie, después tejí una ronda de puntos bajos tomando los puntos solo por el lado de atrás, después tejí recto e hice disminuciones para lograr la forma del tobillo. Para hacer que este amigurumi luciera como una mujer y no como una niña, procuré hacer las curvas de las piernas, haciendo aumentos para las pantorrillas, disminuciones para las rodillas y aumento para los muslos, de esta forma la pierna luce como una pierna adulta. Hice dos piernas iguales y las rellené con fibra.
I started by first knitting the legs with beige yarn and # 4 crochet hook (1.25mm), starting with 5 chains and knitting single crochets and increases over them until I got an oval for the sole of the foot, then I knit a round of single crochets taking The stitches only on the back side, then I knit straight I have made decreases to achieve the shape of the ankle. To make this amigurumi look like a woman and not like a girl, I tried to make the curves of the legs, doing increases for the calves, decreases for the knees and increases for the thighs, in this way the leg looks like an adult leg. I made two equal legs and stuffed them with fiber.
Para el tronco, tejiendo 3 cadenas de distancia entre una pierna y otra, uní ambas piernas tejiendo puntos bajos, continué el tejido haciendo aumentos para formar los glúteos y luego disminuciones para formar la cintura, seguí tejiendo recto e hice aumentos para ensanchar el pecho, dejé el tejido en suspenso para hacer los brazos. Rellené con fibra.
For the trunk, knitting 3 chains of distance between one leg and the other, I joined both legs by knitting single crochets, I continued the knitting making increases to form the buttocks and then decreases to form the waist, I continued to knit straight and did increases to widen the chest, I left the weaving on hold to make the arms. I filled with fiber.
Para tejer la mano tejí los dedos uno por uno tejiendo 4 puntos bajos en una anillo y luego una ronda de 4 puntos bajos, para el dedo meñique y pulgar solo tejí los 4 puntos en una anillo, el pulgar lo uní después de haber unido los demás dedos por una ronda de puntos bajos para que éste quedara situado más arriba, tejí disminuciones para formar la muñeca del brazo y tejí recto hasta alcanzar la altura del hombro. Tejí dos brazos iguales, rellene con fibra solo la mano de la figura y los brazos los inserté en el alambre rosado. Uní los brazos al tronco tejiendo puntos bajos y haciendo disminuciones para formar los hombros y posteriormente el cuello.
To knit the hand I knitted the fingers one by one knitting 4 single crochets in a ring and then a round of 4 single crochets, for the little finger and thumb I only knit the 4 stitches in a ring, the thumb was joined after having joined the Other fingers through a round of single crochets so that it was located higher, I knit decreases to form the wrist of the arm and knit straight until reaching the height of the shoulder. Para hacer el short utilicé hilo azul y ganchillo #4, en la siguiente ronda tejí dos puntos bajos, una cadenas y salté un punto para ir formando los agujeros por donde pasaría el cordón del short, tejí de manera recta hasta alcanzar la entrepierna, dividí el tejido en dos partes iguales e hice dos rondas de puntos bajos en cada lado para formar el agujero donde entra las pierna. Luego con hilo blanco tejí 46 cadenas y sobre estas tejí 46 puntos deslizados para formar el cordón, pasé el cordón por los agujeros del short y lo cerré insertando dos cuentas de plástico azul.
To make the shorts I used blue yarn and # 4 crochet hook, in the next round I knitted two single crochets, a chain and skipped a stitch to form the holes through which the short cord would pass, knit straight up to the crotch, divide in two equal parts and made two rounds of single crochets on each side to form the hole where the legs go in. Then with white thread I wove 46 chains and on these I wove 46 slip stitches to form the cord, I passed the cord through the holes of the shorts and closed it by inserting two blue plastic beads.
Para la blusa tejí dos triángulos para la parte del escote y un trapezoide para la parte de atrás, uní las partes del frente y uní la parte de atrás a 3 cadenas distancia. Tejí unas rondas de puntos bajos y luego hice 4 rondas de puntos de abanicos. Para terminar tejí las sisas y tirantes de la blusa con cadenas y puntos bajos.
For the blouse I knitted two triangles for the neckline and a trapezoid for the back, joined the front parts and joined the back part 3 chains apart. I worked a few rounds of single crochets and then did 4 rounds of fan stitches. To finish, I knit the armholes and straps of the blouse with chains and single crochets.
Para los zapatos comencé tejiendo 6 cadenas y sobre estas tejí puntos bajos y aumentos hasta formar un óvalo con hilo beige, cambié a hilo blanco y tomando solo el lado de atrás de los puntos realicé un ronda de puntos deslizados y una ronda de puntos bajos, luego cambie a hilo morado tejí recto y luego hice disminuciones en la parte del frente al zapato, dejé los puntos centrales en suspenso y tejí los demás haciendo disminuciones a los bordes de cada ronda hasta alcanzar la altura del tobillo. Retomé los puntos centrales con hilo blanco y tejí recto hasta obtener la lengua del zapato. Luego hice el trenzado con hilo azul.
For the shoes I started knitting 6 chains and on these I knitted single crochets and increases to form an oval with beige thread, I changed to white thread and taking only the back side of the stitches I made a round of slip stitches and a round of single crochets, then change to purple yarn I knit straight and then I made decreases in the front of the shoe, I left the central stitches in suspense and I knit the others making decreases to the edges of each round until reaching ankle height. I took up the central stitches with white yarn and knitted straight until I got the shoe tongue. Then I did the braiding with blue yarn.
Para la cabeza con hilo beige tejí 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, luego tejí seis aumentos en cada ronda hasta obtener 36 puntos, tejí recto por 8 rondas y luego hice seis disminuciones por ronda hasta obtener 12 puntadas rellené con fibra y uní al cuello. Tejí las orejas a ambos lados de la cabeza.
For the head with beige yarn I knitted 6 single crochets in a ring, then I knitted six increases in each round until I got 36 stitches, I knitted straight for 8 rounds and then I made six decreases per round until I got 12 stitches filled with fiber and joined the neck. I wove the ears on both sides of the head.
Para el cabello con hilo rosado, procedí de manera similar a la cabeza tejiendo un círculo pero en la última ronda hice dos aumentos adicionales, tejí recto hasta obtener la altura deseada, tejí el flequillo haciendo cadenas y sobre estas tejí puntos bajos. Para el cabello de la cola de caballo tejí cadenas y sobre estas tejí aumentos y puntos bajos para formar los rizos, hice seis rizos de diferente largo, los cosí a un lado de la cabeza y con hilo fucsia tejí la coleta y un pequeño lazo.
For the hair with pink yarn, I proceeded in a similar way to the head by knitting a circle but in the last round I made two additional increases, knitting straight to the desired height, knitting the bangs by making chains and knitting single crochets over these. For the hair of the ponytail I wove chains and on these I wove increases and single crochets to form the curls, I made six curls of different length, I sewed them on one side of the head and with fuchsia thread I wove the ponytail and a small bow.
Bordé los ojos con hilo y aguja de coser negro, verde y blanco, la boca la bordé con hilo rosado y negro, bordé la nariz con hilo para crochet beige y en las orejas cosí dos cuentas azules de plástico.
I embroidered the eyes with black, green and white thread and sewing needle, the mouth was embroidered with pink and black thread, I embroidered the nose with beige crochet thread and in the ears I sewed two blue plastic beads.
La chaqueta la tejí con dos agujas #2 (2mm) hilo delgado de color blanco y fucsia para el motivo. Comencé haciendo un grafico para hacer el motivo sobre papel milimetrado. Luego monté 19 puntos en la aguja más 2 puntos adicionales para los puntos de orillo, tejí 4 rondas de punto derecho, luego dividí el tejido con unas hebras rosadas para marcar 4 puntos de referencias que me servirían para diferenciar los puntos de la parte delantera, de las mangas y de la parte trasera de la chaqueta. Los dos primeros y los dos últimos puntos de cada vuelta los tejí con puntos derecho, mientras que el cuerpo de la chaqueta la tejí en punto jersey, en cada vuelta tejí aumentos antes y después de cada uno de los puntos macados hasta obtener la anchura deseada, los puntos del motivo comienzan en la quinta ronda y se hacen según el grafico. Una vez obtenida el ancho deseado, con unos imperdibles de metal dividí los puntos de las mangas y los saque de las agujas, continué tejiendo juntos los puntos de la parte delantera y trasera hasta terminar el motivo, hice seis disminuciones y tejí cuatro rondas en puntos derechos para hacer el borde final cerré los puntos al derecho.
The jacket was knitted with two needles # 2 (2mm) thin white and fuchsia thread for the motif. I started by making a chart to make the motif on graph paper. Then I made 19 stitches on the needle plus 2 additional stitches for the edge stitches, I knitted 4 rounds, then I divided the fabric with some pink threads to mark 4 reference points that would help me to differentiate the stitches from the front part, the sleeves and the back of the jacket. The first two and the last two stitches of each round I knitted with knit stitches, while the body of the jacket I knitted in stockinette stitch, on each round I knitted increases before and after each of the stitches marked until obtaining the desired width, the motif stitches start in the fifth round and are made according to the graph. Once the desired width was obtained, with some metal pins I divided the stitches on the sleeves and removed them from the needles, I continued knitting the stitches on the front and back until the motif was finished, I made six decreases and knitted four rounds in stitches rights to make the final edge I closed the stitches to the right.
Retomé los puntos de las mangas y tejí en punto jersey haciendo disminuciones a distancias equidistantes hasta obtener el ancho y el largo deseado para la manga y cerré con cuatro rondas de puntos derechos. Hice lo mismo con la otra manga. Con la hebra sobrante cosí el borde interno de cada manga. Lavé y planche la chaqueta para que lo hilo tomaran su lugar.
I took up the stitches on the sleeves and knitted in stockinette stitch making decreases at equidistant distances until I obtained the desired width and length for the sleeve and closed with four rounds of knit stitches. I did the same with the other sleeve. With the excess thread I sewed the inside edge of each sleeve. I washed and ironed the jacket so that the thread would take its place.
Resultado / Result
Este es uno de los proyectos que más he disfrutado hacer por todo el trabajo interno que me produjo pensar en el Día de la Mujer, pensar cómo podría hacer que en mi labor manual se viera reflejado el esfuerzo por hacer notar la importancia de la mujer en el mundo, creo que es importante que las mujeres nos cuidemos ente nosotras mismas, en la unión esta la fuerza y juntas debemos luchas por un mundo más justo. ¡Mujeres Seamos fuertes!
This is one of the projects that I have most enjoyed doing because of all the internal work that caused me to think about Women's Day, to think how I could make my manual work reflect the effort to highlight the importance of women in the world, I think it is important for women to take care of ourselves, in unity there is strength and together we must fight for a more just world.
