Celebrando una vida (Es-En)

Hola amigos de #Greenzone, hoy estamos de cumpleaños. Nuestra Hive account@maylink celebra un año más de vida con la madurez que la hace poseedora de una hermosa familia junto a Hive account@daddyvaldes.

Conocí a Mailin Valdés en marzo del 2023, días en que se celebraba la Feria del Libro; no fue en un espacio literario convencional sino en un parque, casi a mitad de la noche mientras Jorge García Prieto, Juan Carlos García Guridi, Abel Guelmes, Lely Carrasco, Osmel Valdés y otros poetas descargaban sus palabras a la luna.

Hive account@maylink ha ganado premios nacionales por su poesía, ha publicado un libro y si los tiempos no fuesen tan escabrosos, su obra fuera más extensa. Es natural de Baire, ciudad al oriente de Cuba. Es una voz emergente en la narrativa insular y su escritura bebe directamente de las tradiciones y la idiosincrasia de su tierra oriental, tejiendo relatos donde lo local adquiere una dimensión universal.

Con un lenguaje a la vez poético y directo, explora las complejidades de la memoria ancestral, las relaciones humanas y la identidad en la Cuba contemporánea. Su obra, aunque en desarrollo, promete convertirse en un aporte significativo a la literatura cubana actual, destacándose por una autenticidad y un profundo sentido de pertenencia que conecta el legado del ayer con las inquietudes del presente.

Para ningún cubano ha sido un buen año en lo material, menos para Mailin con una familia numerosa, donde el 80% del tiempo lo demandan sus tres niños: Rachel, Rocío y Nathan.

Es una mujer incansable, determinada y con mucha luz; su despertar espiritual la hace ostentar una certeza irrevocable. Pronto hará un año de mi entrada a #hive y lo hice conducida por Hive account@maylink y hasta la fecha debe explicarme cada detalle de este universo intimidante para mí.

Juntas caminamos muchos senderos, fundamos #Greenzone y ello es el símbolo de la hermandad, de nutrir y alimentar lazos que nos hacen familia.

Celebrating a Life

Hello #Greenzone friends, today we are celebrating a birthday. Our Hive account@maylink is celebrating another year of life with the maturity that makes her the center of a beautiful family alongside Hive account@daddyvaldes.

I met Mailin Valdés in March 2023, during the days of the Book Fair; it wasn't in a conventional literary space but in a park, almost midnight, while Jorge García Prieto, Juan Carlos García Guridi, Abel Guelmes, Lely Carrasco, Osmel Valdés and other poets unloaded their words to the moon.

Hive account@maylink has won national awards for her poetry, has published a book, and if times were less harsh, her body of work would be more extensive. She is originally from Baire, a city in eastern Cuba. She is an emerging voice in the island's narrative scene and her writing draws directly from the traditions and idiosyncrasies of her eastern land, weaving tales where the local acquires a universal dimension.

With a language that is both poetic and direct, she explores the complexities of ancestral memory, human relationships, and identity in contemporary Cuba. Her work, although still developing, promises to become a significant contribution to current Cuban literature, standing out for its authenticity and a deep sense of belonging that connects the legacy of yesterday with the concerns of the present.

It hasn't been a good year materially for any Cuban, even less for Mailin with a large family, where 80% of her time is demanded by her three children: Rachel, Rocío, and Nathan.

She is a tireless, determined woman with a lot of light; her spiritual awakening allows her to possess an irrevocable certainty. It will soon be a year since I joined #hive, guided by Hive account@maylink, and to this day she still has to explain every detail of this universe, which is intimidating to me.

Together we have walked many paths, we founded #Greenzone, and it is the symbol of sisterhood, of nurturing and feeding bonds that make us family.
