22 Day Vegan 🌱 Challenge #EatlikeaSuperstar
So let me first start off by saying omg hardest first 4 days ever.😵🤦🏾♀️
I’m in the process of moving so I didn’t have access to a kitchen to be able to make my own meals. My car is in the shop so now I can’t go to the grocery store. These two issues have led me to have to find good choices in the oddest of place like convenient stores. Luckily I do live in Downtown LA where there is tons of great restaurants with leaf friendly options! I’ll be discovering more of those through out the month.
Before this challenge I would consider myself a moderate meat eater. I’m a pretty picky eater and the only meat I truly eat a lot of is chicken. So I felt this 22 day challenge would be interesting since I already don’t like a lot of meats as it is but what I didn’t prepare myself for was no dairy products. When you eliminate dairy from your diet you realize that a lot of things you eat has it. On the run I can’t stop and get a bacon egg and cheese biscuit or omelette. I love eggs (pretty much all breakfast) and this is now a problem from me.
Besides the food another one of my issues with the challenge that I’m having is taking a picture with the date in the background. When I’m out and about grabbing food I don’t necessarily have the ability to take a picture with a date and my username. I’ll have to start carrying a prewritten piece of paper on me at all times.

Since I knew I would be giving it all up. I decided to have 1 last breakfast bang! I went with a surf and Turf spicy bowl. Since it would be the last time I eat meat either for 22 days or forever!!!!! Later that day I ate Sweet Potatoes and water which is another one of my favorite foods.

Today was packing day. There is this cool little couscous place a few blocks from my house so I ate couscous with Brussels sports, cadets, squash, and kale which by the way was bomb.com!!!!! I will be going back there soon!
I ended the day off with a salad I found in the convenient store below my apartment. It came with chicken and ranch in a separate container trust me I felt so weird tossing out the package and eating the salad plain. I’m not okay with plain lettuce. We might need to rethink for the future.

With more packing to do I settled for some Vegan Quinoa, Vegan Grape leaves, and sweet potato’s to eat in a day. Since I was packing on my own as well as not having a car this was my only real option for the day.
Word of advice.... cold grape leaves are not all that good. I advice warm ones at all time! Lol I’ve also learned that I don’t really like quinoa either but mixed with the sweet potatoes I was able to eat them with no issues.

Today was moving day. Now your probably wondering did I eat anything else that day. Sadly I did not. I was really moving and grooving and just didn’t even really think to eat most of the day. I grabbed the green tea lemon drink for breakfast and stopped at blue bottle for a chai pudding and lemon tea on my way to my new place later that evening. By time I was moved in it was 2am... so bed was all I cared about.
