Know Your History: Antisemitic Riots in Jerusalem (NY Times April 8, 1920)

One of the common claims of Israel haters is how there was peace, love and understanding until those dastardly Zionists came along and Israel was established. Another claim is that this is purely a territorial dispute, not motivated by antisemitism. Yet another claim is that the palestinians have been here for thousands of years and are the land's indigenous inhabitants.

This New York Times article from 1920 dispels all three of these claims.

It is funny how the palestinian Arabs bragged they "won the country by the sword and will keep it by the sword" - yet later on when they lost it "by the sword" (after rejecting the Partition Plan and other peaceful initiatives accepted by the Jews), they then spent the next 70+ years whining about the injustice of it all.
