A few days ago a friend of mine introduced me to this blogging platform supported by blockchain technology.
Until now I still do not have any idea about what blockchain technology is. All I know is, suddenly my friends started to blog again on this new blogging platform after many years of hiatus.
In this modern day, many people believe photos and videos have more power and impact to tell stories than writings or blogs. Perhaps that the reason why writers and blogger, including my friends, are on hiatus or become vloggers.
This sweet Steemit gives a new reason for writers and bloggers to write again by offering an innovative approach to appreciate them. Just like what YouTube gave to their creators.
OK not exactly like that, but you know what I mean, right?
Even better than YouTube, Steemit did not give room for clickbait articles to increase by not counting the click per article as a base for its monetization but by counting the vote per article! CMIIW.
If an article is a clickbait I don't think the readers —who won't have their wasted time back because reading it— will not give their vote. Nice move Steemit!
Anyway, my name is Iwan Pribadi, I'm from Yogyakarta - Indonesia (no, it's not Malaysia! See those archipelagos situated in the south of Malaysia and Philippines? That's Indonesia!).
I love traveling, have a great curiosity about the culinary world, like writing, and don't mind share stories with everyone who loves to read or hear it.
Soekamti Goes To Papua is my first book, published on November 9th, 2017. It's in the Indonesian language by the way. Sorry about that. I'll try to tell you what that book talking about in my next posting. OK.
So Steemit and Steemit community, it's great to know you and glad to be part of you.
I bet you already knew, English is not my native tongue so I believe there are many mistakes in this article or in my next articles in the future. I hope you can understand, and hey it's a learning process right?
So, let's write!
