We are searching for my wife's student who transferred to a new home. It's a challenge because we never been there, and here's what we discovered. It's actually a forest. I'm glad that forests like this still exist in plains. There used to be a forest in our village where my mother's family lived. It doesn't look like forest even when I was young. It's now a residential jungle with so many houses constructed.
I was worried that this forest will someday turn into a jungle of homes or even a business establishment. Population surge and capitalism might cause it.
Last Saturday, a flash flood (with hailstorm) happened in Session Road, Baguio City washing away the vendors' stalls. The city is already congested with homes. Trees are being cut down badly. People said the flash flood is the consequence of hurting the mother nature.
The earth has a process of natural healing like our body but due to greed, it is getting unlikely that it will be totally healed. Hopefully, this forest we have been will stay as it looks. Too bad, some politicians who found out that a land is not registered will grab them.
