During our last visit to the Port Natal Maritime Museum, I was disappointed to learn that we couldn't go onboard the J.R. More tugboat.
Last weekend we decided to see if we would be able to get on board the boat by now. Saturday it was pouring down with rain the whole day, but on Sunday morning we headed out. It was still cloudy and the rain could start at any moment again, but we decided to give it a go.
We arrived at the museum at about 10h15 and learned they are only open from 11h00 on Sundays and public holidays.
So, we had some time on our hands, and with Wilson's Wharf being right next to the museum, we decided to go for a walk at Wilson's Wharf.
At Wilson's Wharf, the first boat that caught my attention was the Serendipity.

Walking down to the bottom end, looking at how many boats were being anchored there.
Quite a few of these boats had people on them. Some people were just relaxing while others looked like they might be preparing to head out on their boats.
On the one boat was a team of guys who looked as if they were preparing to head out soon.
Going to the far end of Wilson's Wharf, which is more focused on entertainment for the public, we found this boat, the Spirit Sulis. It belongs to the Adventure Worx company that takes people out on pleasure cruises.
Taking a closer look...
By now, it was close to 11h00 and we decided to move towards the Port Natal Maritime Museum.
The Museum was open, but as we approached the museum, I noticed some activity in the docs behind the museum...yet I couldn't get a nice, clear view.
Entering the property of the museum, I found a space to the side, before going to the boats and everything on display in the museum, from where I could get a nice view of the action taking place in the doc behind the museum.
These two tugboats were maneuvering around and I was able to get some photos...
